SELF-POLICING MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKS BY ARTIFICIAL IMPERVIOUS SYSTEM WITH DERIVATIVE REJOINDER

Abstract:

In mobile ad hoc networks, nodes act both as terminals and information relays, and they participate in a common routing protocol, such as dynamic source routing (DSR). Node misbehavior due to selfish or malicious reasons or faulty nodes can significantly degrade the performance of mobile ad hoc networks. We describe the use of a self-policing mechanism based on reputation to enable mobile ad hoc networks to keep functioning despite the presence of misbehaving nodes. In this paper, we investigate the use of an artificial impervious system (AIS) to detect node misbehavior in a mobile ad hoc network using DSR. The system is inspired by the natural impervious system (IS) of vertebrates. Our goal is to build a system that, like its natural counterpart, automatically learns, and detects new misbehavior. Once a misbehaving node is detected it is automatically isolated from the network. We classify the features of such reputation systems and describe possible implementations of each of them. We explain in particular how it is possible to use second-hand information while mitigating contamination by spurious ratings. We implemented the system in the network simulator Glomosim; we present detection results and discuss how the system parameters affect the performance of primary and derivative rejoiner and also misbehavior system is detected and derivative rejoiner is given to eradicate it.

A NEW ALGORITHM TO SOLVE ZERO ONE PROGRAMMING PROBLEM

Abstract:

When formulating linear programming problem, variables should have been regarded as taking integer
values but for the sake of convenience, let them take fractional values and at the end any fractional part could be
neglected. Whilst this is acceptable in some situations, in many cases it is not, and in such cases one must find a
numeric solution in which the variables take integer values. Problems in which this is the case are called integer
program and the subject of solving such programs is called integer programming. For solving integer programming
problem no similar general purpose and computationally effective algorithms exist. Indeed theory suggests that not
general-purpose computational complexity and concerns NP-completeness. It was developed from the early 1970’s
onward and basically is a theory concerning “how long it takes algorithms to run”. This means that integer
programmings are a lot harder to solve than linear programming. In this paper a new algorithm to solve zero-one
integer linear programming problem if all the variables are restricted to take the values zero or one is given. This
algorithm consists of two steps. In step 1 the intercepts of a promising variable based on the different constraints are
found out. Using the intercept matrix obtained for all the promising variables, a maximum of m variables are
selected and arranged where m is the number of constraints. Also the maximum value that each of the arranged
variables can assume is found out. In step 2, the arranged all variables are allowed to enter into the basis
simultaneously. A method has been suggested to find out the integer value restricted to zero or one with which a
variable has to enter the basis. The simplex method while finding the improved basic feasible solution if moves along
the edges of the feasible region. In the proposed zero-one integer linear programming algorithm the improved
solution moves in the interior of the feasible region.

Abstract:

Cloud computing is one of the recent technologies that gains the attention of developers and researchers due to its emerging features. This technology focuses on the aspect of providing all the needful to the users who are affording it. Many organizations’ traditional methods have been migrated to the cloud with their data and functionalities. Still, there are people who are not aware of the features and benefits of cloud computing. Some people even after knowing about it fear to move to clouds due to their feeling of insecurity. This is because of some kind of myths regarding cloud storage. This paper is a survey cum clarification about cloud advantages and its heart like concept Virtualization. The focus will be completely on virtualization, its approaches, and benefits. The main intention is to make the new comers and non-users of clouds to enter into this powerful world without fear. This also tries to educate them that even some issues originates they are manageable.

Abstract:

With the increase availability of organic products at the consumer markets the consumers attitude towards has changed positive towards them. But with initial rush of consumer purchase waning the real motives behind the consumers preference towards organic food is getting exposed. This article aims to understand the real reasons the people buy organic products and the factors that hinder the adoption of organic products by the consumers. The availability of organic food at popular outlets seems to help their adoption by consumers who would otherwise skip organic products but the same availability with higher price also drives away potential buyers. This research as stated above will be aimed at the number of factors that hinder the purchase and also analyze the pricing of organic products and it contribution towards consumers avoiding organic products.

Abstract:

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) consist of sensor nodes deployed in a manner to collect information about surrounding environment. Wireless Sensor Networks is used in wide range of applications because of the various features like low cost, no gateways or switches for monitoring the flow of information when the data is transmitted from source to destination. Security is the most important factor in networks. There are possibilities to hack the wireless information. The hacking can be avoided with the help of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). Some protocols are used to determine the correct packets, here a new game theoretic approach is used to h increasing energy saving for sufficiently large, resource constrained networks. The aim of this paper is to present a method, in which a fuzzy multi-objective nonlinear fractional programming problem is presented. All the coefficients of the nonlinear fractional multi-objective functions and the constraints are taken to be fuzzy numbers and using ranking function. Abstract:

This paper presents experimental work on online learning environment. Student engagement in learning has become measurement of teaching and learning quality of any educational organization. We have launched learning management system (LMS), MOODLE in our university Local Area Network (LAN) and students’ activities have been recorded. LMS could record a large amount of data into its database. It records users login time, students hit on available online course materials, sharing of resources and interaction with other users etc. We have attempted to show the impact of online LMS on student participation in online pedagogy, their motivation towards technology enhanced learning (TEL) and online social networks of students and teachers. We found that the students who have actively engaged in online LMS login more frequently and visit longer time. It can be notice that the Students who actively engaged have higher grade in comparison to other less engaged students.
