Abstract:

Adaptive routing algorithms that opportunistically route the packets in the absence of reliable knowledge about channel statistics and the network model. In this paper, design adaptive routing algorithms, Distributed Opportunistic Routing (d-AdaptOR), which minimizes the expected number of transmissions and thus improving the throughput. The remainder of the dissertation concerns with the design routing algorithms to avoid congestion in the network. Describe a Distributed Opportunistic Routing algorithm with Congestion Diversity (ORCD) which employs receiver diversity and minimizes end-end delay.

Abstract:

A Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is an autonomous collection of mobile users that communicate over relatively bandwidth constrained wireless links. One of the main issues in such networks is performance- in a dynamically changing topology; the nodes are expected to be power-aware due to the bandwidth constrained network. Another issue in such networks is security - since every node participates in the operation of the network equally, malicious nodes are difficult to detect. There are several applications of mobile ad hoc networks such as disaster recovery operations, battle field communications, etc. The paper is discussed introductory background on ad hoc wireless networks and reviews existing work in routing and positioning; presents the APS family of positioning algorithms, and examines their performance analysis analytical, and through simulation.

Abstract:

Wireless ad hoc network is a collection of mobile nodes dynamically forming a temporary network without a centralized administration. This kind of network has been applied for both civilian and military purposes. However, security in wireless ad hoc networks is hard to achieve due to the vulnerability of the links, limited physical protection of the nodes, and the absence of a certification authority or centralized management point. Consequently, novel approaches are necessary to address the security problem and to cooperate with the properties of wireless ad hoc network. Similar to other distributed systems, security in wireless ad hoc networks usually relies on the use of different key management mechanisms. The compromise of the node breaks down the whole security system.

Abstract:

Opportunistic routing for multi-hop wireless ad hoc networks has long been proposed to overcome the decencies of conventional routing. Opportunistic routing mitigates the impact of poor wireless links by exploiting the broadcast nature of wireless transmissions and the path diversity. More precisely, the opportunistic routing decisions are made in an online manner by choosing the next relay based on the actual transmission outcomes as well as a rank ordering.

Abstract:

Discovery of a predictive learning function that classifies data item into one of several predefined classes. Classification is the most commonly applied data mining technique, which employs a set of pre-classified examples to develop a model that can classify the population of records at large. In Learning the training data are analyzed by classification algorithm. In classification test data are used to estimate the accuracy of the classification rules. If the accuracy is acceptable the rules can be applied to the new data tuples. Abstract:

Trajectory based forwarding (TBF) is a novel paradigm that makes the transition from a discrete view of the paths to a continuous view of the paths in future dense networks. Its main advantages are that it provides cheap path diversity, decouples path naming from the path itself, and trades off communication for computation. When GPS is not available, TBF may make use of alternate techniques, such as global and local positioning algorithms. It is robust in front of adverse conditions, such as sparse networks, and imprecise positioning. This paper, TBF should be used as an essential layer in position centric ad hoc networks, as a support for basic services: routing (unicast, multicast, multipath), broadcasting and discovery.

Abstract:

Broadcasting is the process in which a source node sends a message to all other nodes in MANET. Network wide broadcasting in Mobile Ad Hoc Network provides important control and route establishment functionality for a number of unicast and multicast protocols. The broadcast scheme is widely used within routing protocols by a wide range of wireless ad hoc networks such as mobile ad hoc networks, vehicular ad hoc networks, and wireless sensor networks, and used to spread emergency messages in critical scenarios after a disaster scenario and/or an accident. This paper provides such analysis by classifying existing broadcasting schemes.
