Abstract:

Is it possible to create a computer, which can interact with us as we interact each other? For example imagine in a fine morning you walk on to your computer room and switch on your computer, and then it tells you “Hey friend, good morning you seem to be a bad mood today. And then it opens your mail box and shows you some of the mails and tries to cheer you. It seems to be a fiction, but it will be the life lead by “BLUE EYES” in the very near future. The basic idea behind this technology is to give the computer the human power. We all have some perceptual abilities. That is we can understand each other’s feelings. For example we can understand ones emotional state by analyzing his facial expression. If we add these perceptual abilities of human to computers would enable computers to work together with human beings as intimate partners. The “BLUE EYES” technology aims at creating computational machines that have perceptual and sensory ability like those of human beings.

Abstract:

the term “big data” is relatively new, but the act of gathering and storing large amounts of information for analysis is ages old. Big data is a term that describes the large volume of data – both structured and unstructured – that inundates a business on a day-to-day basis. But it’s not the amount of data that’s important. It’s what organizations do with the data that matters. Big data can be analyzed for insights that lead to better decisions and strategic business moves.

Abstract:

A novel sparse domain-based information hiding framework is proposed in this paper. The adaptive sparse domain can be utilized to embed watermarking logo with better security and robustness. This can be realized owing to the fact that, not only sparse domain can be customized from the given samples, but also the sparse transform coefficients of the original watermarking signal can be embedded, which provides inherent privacy. This paper provides two kinds of methods that embed watermark directly and embed the sparse representation coefficients of watermarking logo, and analyzes the condition of uniqueness of the sparse solution.

Abstract:

We see the IoT as billions of smart, connected “things” (a sort of “universal global neural network” in the cloud) that will encompass every aspect of our lives, and its foundation is the intelligence that embedded processing provides. The IoT is comprised of smart machines interacting and communicating with other machines, objects, environments and infrastructures. As a result, huge volumes of data are being generated, and that data is being processed into useful actions that can “command and control” things to make our lives much easier and safer—and to reduce our impact on the environment. The creativity of this new era is boundless, with amazing potential to improve our lives. The following thesis is an extensive reference to the possibilities, utility, applications and the evolution of the Internet of thing.

STUDY ON CLOUD COMPUTING

Abstract:

Cloud computing is a technology that enables the users to access shared pools of configurable systems resources and higher-level services that can be rapidly provisioned with minimal management effort, often over the Internet. The term "cloud computing" was popularized with Amazon.com releasing its Elastic Compute Cloud product in 2006, references to the phrase "cloud computing" appeared as early as 1996, with the first known mention in a Compaq internal document. The cloud symbol was used to represent networks of computing equipment in the original ARPANET and CSNET. The word cloud was used as a metaphor for the Internet and a standardized cloud-like shape was used to denote a network on telephony schematics. With this simplification, the implication is that the specifics of how the end points of a network are connected are not relevant for the purposes of understanding the diagram. The term cloud was used to refer to platforms for distributed computing as early as 1993, when Apple spin-off General Magic and AT&T used it in describing their (paired) Telescript and PersonaLink technologies.

Abstract:

Soft Computing refers to the science of reasoning, thinking and deduction that recognizes and uses the real world phenomena of grouping, memberships, and classification of various quantities under study. As such, it is an extension of natural heuristics and capable of dealing with complex systems because it does not require strict mathematical definitions and distinctions for the system components. It differs from hard computing in that, unlike hard computing, it is tolerant of imprecision, uncertainty and partial truth. In effect, the role model for soft computing is the human mind. The guiding principle of soft computing is: Exploit the tolerance for imprecision, uncertainty and partial truth to achieve tractability, robustness and low solution cost. The main techniques in soft computing are evolutionary computing, artificial neural networks, and fuzzy logic and Bayesian statistics. Each technique can be used separately, but a powerful advantage of soft computing is the complementary nature of the techniques. Used together they can produce solutions to problems that are too complex or inherently noisy to tackle with conventional mathematical methods. The applications of soft computing have proved two main advantages. First, it made solving nonlinear problems, in which mathematical models are not available, possible. Second, it introduced the human knowledge such as cognition, recognition, understanding, learning, and others into the fields of computing. This resulted in the possibility of constructing intelligent systems such as autonomous self-tuning systems, and automated designed systems. This paper highlights various areas of soft computing techniques.

Abstract:

This paper proposes the design and implementation of object counting algorithm based on image processingby using Raspberry pi on real time basis. Features of an image containing objects to be detected are extracted uses amethod called BLOB (Binary Large Object) analysis. This method is used so as to identify the objects/regions calledBLOBs using pixel connectivity and further more parameters like area, centroid, and number of BLOBs available in thetest image. Preprocessing of the input test image is done prior to the BLOB analysis like thresholding to get a binaryimage. The number of objects identified is displayed or read out using a speaker interfaced to the hardware. Thehardware Raspberry Pi, running with UBUNTU operating system flashed into a memory card, works as a standalonedevice with the Raspberry Pi camera being used as an image acquisition device to constantly capture image frames ofobjects of interest.
